INTRODUCED TO INDIE BOOKSELLERS AT SIBA/NAIBA

WOW! You won’t pass this edition by. This cover will jump off the shelf and into your hands.

As the Sycamore Grows met booksellers from the top of New York to Miami and WVA to New Orleans at the joint conference in Arlington, VA. Publisher Echo Garrett, PR rep Elise Riley and I talked from sun up until dark and gave away more than 100 books to the finest, friendliest booklovers on the East coast.

They seemed to love the story: Ginger making her own soap and stretching a dollar to feed her boys. Her escape, which has steeled the resolve of others who recognize themselves caught up in domestic abuse.

The woman who couldn’t speak up spoke out for others like her. Her story made a difference in the lives of people who heard it, whether recognizing warning signals in a relationship, learning where to find safety, or how to help a friend or family member.

The new look, lime green and brown, just like Ginger’s suit when I met her at the sandwich shop. The new edition contains everything the original book had and more. It also includes an epilog and expanded resources for help.

This edition is published by Lucid House Publishing. It was released May 2. Lucid House is a new company with award-winning books.
