Calculating my texts? This could be me. Or maybe you. What senior hasn’t done the same thing
or something so similar—the phone rings and you pick up the ‘TV remote to answer it?
Or you put in a phone number (and call it dialing the number) but nothing rings and no one answers because you’ve entered the numbers into the remote?
If we didn’t have so many gadgets and contraptions, we wouldn’t forget which one did what, or which one we’re holding in our hand. That’s not a reflection on seniors or a act of aging, it’s because we don’t have enough hands or pockets and we have too much technology to hold or wear or remember.
Like all the passwords we’re supposed to keep up with and change every six months, and don’t use the same ones over and over and not your birthday and dog’s name and other things easy to remember. And don’t write them down because an identity thief might steal them.
So much to think about, so much to keep up with. Why are my glasses in the microwave????
